I have always had a passion for art, both in terms of creating it and collecting works of my favorite local artists. I am a self-taught landscape artist strongly influenced by places that I have studied including the Old Lyme Academy and Silvermine Arts Guild. I work in either oil or pastel, depending on the mood I want to create in a painting.  I capture nature's spectrum of subtle and vibrant colors and how light and shadow interact with them. This allows me to draw the viewer in to experience nature's tranquility and excitement. My favorite places to paint are Marthas Vineyard and the South Carolina low country where I am particularly attracted to water scenes.

With the escalating threat of global warming I strongly support efforts to protect our environment and feel that it is important to preserve an impressionistic view of nature, as it exists today, for generations to come.

My recent exhibitions have included the Rowayton Arts Center Autumn and Spring Shows, the Silvermine Spring Show, the Mamaroneck Artist Guild Small Works, Garden Show and Awards Shows, the Bronxville Women’s Club and the American Yacht Club Members Show. My paintings are in personal collections on the East coast.

Reflecting my first career in Strategic Planning/Market Research, in addition to doing art, I also enjoy the business side of art. I have developed an art consultancy business which focuses on professional development programs for Art Guilds and other organizations, customized to their needs. I recently conceived of and introduced a program called “Jump Start Your Art” which is a professional development program that enables both emerging and established artists to better understand the local art marketplace, thereby maximizing their success in exhibiting and selling their art. I also conceived of and curated a members’ art show for the American Yacht Club in Rye, NY.
